Welcome to the Ironwood Observatory website. If you are looking for anything to do with automated observatories
- whether it be using them, building them, repairing them, or just researching
them - you have come to the right place. Ironwood Observatory has been remote-controlled internationally from Japan, UK, Poland and Russia and from other US states such as Florida, Illinois and North Dakota. Ironwood North Observatory Arizona and the University of Berkeley (The Hands-On Universe program) are partners in a remote imaging program aimed at providing astronomical images for educational purposes. New Additions We are now pleased to announce a new and completely automated remote observatory. This is a complete system which includes an observatory, educational package and an ideal location. We are currently working on a web site for IRO and if you have any questions or wish to get a quote you can call the phone number listed below.
